Register Childcare Centre or Face The Music

Miri , Proprietors of childcare centres should register with the Welfare Department or risk having the book thrown at them. The president of the Miri Branch of the Association of RegisteredChildcare Provider (ARCP), Angela Goh Said by doing so it would also make it compulsory for their teachers/carers to attend a course on basic childcare.

Getting your centre registered is a must equally important is sending your teachers to attend the basic childcare course.
           We should not wait for JKM (welfare Department) to strictly enforced the law. Registration and training our teachers are our duty. All These efforts are important not just to ensure a high standard of service but to gain the public's confidence,” said Angela at the 'Childcare providers and recognition nite' held at the Imperial Palace Hotel on Saturday night.
            On the dinner, Angela said it was held for the first time with the biggest crowd of 70 and it was alsothe first time it was held together with the recognition nite'.
            It's one of the ways we can show our teachers our appreciation for the hard work, their respective childcare centres and also in appreciation of their support during the last Taska Day held recently,” she added.
